Joy in heaven.

March 9th, 2010 by Miki Hardy

There is abundant joy in heaven for one soul that comes to repentance. There is also great joy in our hearts when we personally pray with someone for his salvation. We know that every person needs to be saved and it is our responsibility as a christian, to share the love of Jesus to those around us. We can decide to make it a priority in our lives to do so, and the Holy Spirit will lead and direct us in our desire to see people saved. Let us pray and ask the Lord to revive our faith and to give us back the zeal to win souls.

Man shall not live by bread alone….

March 9th, 2010 by Miki Hardy

Jesus taught His disciples that a man needs the word of God in his daily life. A verse of scripture or a story from the bible can enlighten us or revive our faith. The power of the word of God can lift up our heads when all seems to fall apart, a promise from the bible can remove our fear and cause us to have faith to face the day. God fed His people in the desert daily with manna from heaven but today He feeds our hearts and souls with the truth of His word. Man shall live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4.

Lord, open our eyes.

It is time to be sensitive to what is happening in the church worldwide. The prosperity message in the church today is simply unscriptural and deceptive. We cannot describe it any other way because it is contrary to the pure doctrine of Christ and the pure message of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Christians, we need to rise up and stand for the true gospel that changes lives and we must stop hearing lies and false teachings. We need to consider this prayerfully.

Christians of many gods.

March 6th, 2010 by Miki Hardy

Elijah challenged the people of Israel to choose between the living God and the gods of Baal. They believed in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob but they also believed in Baal. What a tragedy, when we consider that the Almighty God delivered their forefathers from Egypt by doing so many great miracles and cared after them. But they decided to serve other gods. Jezebel had killed all the prophets of God, except for one hundred that Obadiah had hidden in a cave.  Elijah was left alone to face four hundred of the prophets of Baal.  He was a real prophet of God and did not compromise. He challenged the people of Israel to make their choice, either to follow God almighty or Baal. When the God of Israel sent fire from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust,  the people of Israel fell on their faces and repented. They said,”The Lord He is God! The Lord He is God!”

We can have many other gods in our christian lives and we can serve them in many ways. The world can be one of them, and money can be another one. What about television and video films from the world? We can make a long list, and it is time to respond to the call of God and leave aside these other gods. Let every one turn to Jesus sincerely and faithfully so as to seek for His forgiveness and for Him to help every one to become a christian of no compromise in these last days.

In His presence

March 4th, 2010 by Miki Hardy

Christians miss on many blessings in their lives because the flesh prevents them from entering in the Lord’s presence. It is a battle for many to pray and hear from the Lord. Prayer is one of the hardest thing for christians. They prefer to talk about their problems than to turn to the Lord in prayer. He is the only one to help us, to restore us, to understand us, to strengthen us etc. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. Psalms 84:10.

The victorious christian.

March 3rd, 2010 by Miki Hardy

Who is he? Is he the one who is very rich and prosperous? Is he the one who goes to a big church? Is he the one who knows his bible verses by heart? Is he the one who has been for a long time in a church? God does not judge a victorious christian by the above descriptions, certainly not. In fact a victorious christian is one who has victory over sin,  one who keeps growing in the knowledge of Christ, one who loves his brothers and sisters, one who carries a good perfume of Christ or carries the life of Christ. He can be rich or poor, he can go to a small or big church, he can quote bible verses by heart or not, he can be a young or old born again christian. God looks mainly at the heart of man before looking at the outward appearences or actions.

Don’t quit, the Lord will reward your faith.

March 2nd, 2010 by Miki Hardy

The last thing to do is to stop believing, when situations in our lives become tough. God, our Father, is the rewarder of those who seek Him. We need to continually be in His presence and persevere in prayer. Jesus taught His disciples that our Father will avenge us, His children, speedily, as we keep persevering in prayer. Luke 18:1-8. Our fellowship with the Lord is vital, if we want to stay in faith for the victory that lies ahead. We will find everything we need in His presence.

Faith is the answer.

A restoration of our faith is necessary at this time we are living. We cannot afford to face life without faith. We cannot afford to doubt anymore because we will be swallowed by the lies and accusations of the enemy. Our faith can be restored in the presence of the Lord as we seek Him. Our faith can grow as we hear the truth of God’s word and we read and meditate the word of God. We will not be able to serve the Lord without faith. Let us draw near to Him and He will draw near to us. James 4:7.
